i honestly think boston college is one of the colleges to definitely go to if you're looking for community.
boston college's asian community is unrivaled i would say at the very least in the boston area. i mean some people are turned off by the whole tightness of asian community but truthfully, i prefer it this way, its comfortable. sure i might be ignorant in this sense, but for those of you that know me well, i often prefer comfort over anything hahha. (maybe except when it comes to girls i might compromise a little here and there. hahaha) but yea, i mean apparently some kid here chose bc over dartmouth for this very reason and he said its because the community is so great. i feel like a lot of college applicants won't be able to find out a lot about this and will basically base their applications on rankings by u.s. news world report. (that's what i did anyway :/ )(i think that's what it's called) i have a lot of friends who are prospective students and not because i have immense pride in myself and my school, i say without a doubt that boston college's korean community is great maybe the best on a completely objective point of view. i was really lucky.
but what sucks is that the music scene here is pretty dry. maybe i just perceive it that way because im too lazy to go out and look but from what i hear, it really is dry haha.
i just learned that there's someone here who gave up upenn for bc too. :O
and in response to aaron's comment. yes he is definitely right, other communities are strong as well. BC is just a school that stresses community, sometimes even more than academics.
